Weir/Linatex has many different hose end options. This blog will identify five (5) of the most common ends used by our customers.
Built in Steel Nipple: Fixed and Floating Flange (BIN)
Both 150# and 300# ANSI bolt patterns available with working pressures up to 500 psi.
Best used in high pressure applications (250 psi or more) or where there may be significant pulling forces such as dredging applications.
BIRF—Built in Rubber Flange
150# and 300# ANSI Bolt pattern flanges
Working Pressures up to 285 psi
Standard heavy duty hose flanges. Suitable for all applications with less 250 PSI working pressure. Not suitable for dredging.
Swivel Flanges—150# ANSI bolt pattern, working pressures to 285. Aids in the installation of hoses.
Reusable Aluminum Couplings-150# ANSI Bolt pattern. These 2-piece couplings are used with the cut-end hose option. Working pressures up to 150 psi.
Linalok Split Flange—150# ANSI Bolt Pattern
2-piece bolt together reusable cast flanges with working pressures up to 125 psi.
Light duty hose flange (125 psi or less) designed for applications where the flange needs to be connected once the hose is in place. Typically after passing through a wall or floor that the flange would not fit through.
